I remember being very impressed with U2 . Saw J. Geils with the Stones a year earlier. Liked J Geils so went to see them again. Remember U2 on the Marque, and thinking I had never heard of them. U2 rocked. Bono was running into the crowd singing. I knew they were going to make it big. Have been a fan ever since.

I remember U2 opening for the J. Geils Band and getting booed off the stage. They were touring on their October album, which is not their best, and they were in the wrong crowd. That is my earliest U2 live experience.
