This was one of the first U2 albums I heard and the minute I heard 'Zoo Station', I knew it absolutely had to be an instant classic. I just love the way it ends and fades away, leaving a flash of random memories through your mind. I never got how 'Love Is Blindness' fits on the album, though.It's a pity I wasn't even born when it was released. :-(

Everything is so special about Achtung Baby.

When i saw The Fly video i was thinking (what the f***!?) In that time (I live in Croatia) I had very little information about music news etc. So the U2 I knew (Rattle and Hum style) was gone and in front of me was some other U2. Quite shocking. But when I heard guitar solo of The Fly I realised that this is going to be even better than the real thing.

Ultraviolet is my all-time favorite U2 masterpiece... :)

Acthung Baby is one of my favorite U2 albums all time. It was a groundbreaking album for the band. It definitely reinvented the sound of U2 and set the trend for the 90s.It has been described as dark, industrial, heavy and dance music. In my opinion, this is the Edge's best guitar work ever and Bono's. lyrics are very profound. There are lot of great songs from 'Even Better than the Real Thing', 'The Fly', 'One', 'Until End of the World', 'Mysterious Ways', and 'Ultraviolet' is a great song to listen to while driving on the highway. I was thrilled to hear Ultraviolet played during 360 degree tour.

Loved AB. Wild Horses, Ultra Violet, One, Love is Blindness etc all superb live. It is an album that you never get sick of listening. Hearing Wild Horses acoustic version in LA in November 2005 during the Vertigo Tour was amazing as I flew from Australia just to see the band play the 2 LA shows.

Achtung Baby is revolutionary. As a child, all of U2's prior works were captivating beyond words and as an adult, their new records continue to produce the same amazing feeling for me. But, when Achtung Baby was released, I was 15 years old and felt as if the record had been written for me. My mother bought the cassette tape for me and I can still remember hearing the opening of Zoo Station for the first time through the Mustang's stereo and knowing instantly that this was unlike anything I had ever heard before. My favorite song of all time is "One"; performed, of course, by my favorite band of all time, U2. In fact, Achtung Baby was my hands down favorite record up until last year when I heard No Line On The Horizon. The two records are a very close 1 and 2 in my book.

U2 is the greatest band of all time and Achtung Baby is the greatest album of all time so this makes me VERY happy!! : )

Day "Achtung Baby" was released. Day my wife and I got married. Nov. 19, 2005 - day our son was born. 'Nuff said!

This album reflects a new sound for U2, just a few bands have the talent to reinvent his sound many times and still recording the best music ever you heard. With this album U2 give us ZOO TV Tour and the dream become reality

this is my fav song on this album and i named my cat after trhis album so i get funny looks when im in the garden calling her !!!!!

How good is Actung Baby? Everytime cue the album to Even Better Than The Real Thing, my 5yr old daughter will stop what she's doing and sing along. She will sit quiet and listen to most of the album. She will ask me to repeat Trying To Through Your Arms Around the World. Forget those Disney places, will take my daughter to a U2 concert

When Achtung Baby came out and Zoo TV was burning, I was eleven, but I remember perfectly the night that "The Fly" was heard in the radio for the first time: I was with my earphones in shock, I could't believe what they have done!! And look these videos, look the art work... then the concert of Sidney on TV... It was the right album for that epoch. Now I am different, they are different, but... almost the same!! Or even better? ;)

This album remember me the first time i met U2 in Italy...A great album, great band...amazing concert, special effects on stage...i was 19 years old...never forget it...Achtung Baby...this baby gown up!

All killer, absolutely no filler. Achtung Baby is the sound track to every good occasion in my life and some of the worst. From So Cruel, The Fly, Mysterious Ways to Ultraviolet not to forget the wonderful B sides. I love it from start to finish.

Brilliant choice for number one, a bit bemused as to why The Joshua Tree is at #62, it deserves to be placed a lot higher than that, I mean it is a legendary album. However, Achtung Baby is amazing, One is a brilliant song, Ultraviolet is stunning, Mysterious Ways playful and funky and Love is Blindness is strangely beautiful in its own right. All in all, great album and great choice by Spin magazine.

' Zoo station' is one of the song i prefer of the album, Ultraviolet' it comes after and there is this concept of duality in this album that i had not clear , but then i had. Acrobat and One are other two special songs to me.

Musical genious, raw, rectifying, and cutting edge expirementation of a band already eons ahead of thier time. My alltime favorite album of any music genre, even after a thousand times of listining it still captivates the ears and the mind. A word of CAUTION to any band anywhere that tries to duplicate this sound!

This is the one album in the history of music that I can sit down, put in the ear buds and I am absolutely transported. The world aroudn me fades away and it is just me and the music from the first note of Zoo Station to the last of Love is Blindness. A true masterpiece! Genius has never been so evident.

Achtung Baby was my first U2 CD and where it all began for me as a fan. It was the beginning of the soundtrack of my life with U2 - that album particularily has memories attached to every, single song. It's my favorite U2 album by far. over to cover it is legendary, brilliant, energetic, sexy and classic all in one. Love it!

When I heard "The Fly" on the radio, I had never heard anything like it before. I could not believe it was U2 when I found out as I was not a U2 fan at all. Ever since I have been hooked! Can't get enough of "Even Better Than The Real Thing! Can't wait for the summer tour again!!!

I saw the band 10 times on the Zoo Tv tour.I cant believe it has been 18 yrs on now.One of the best shows,Boston,St.Pats Day 03.17.92 and Yankee Stadium 08.29.92. Amazing.I just wish this great live band would release some live cd's.The band have ONLY released 2 live cd's,Slane 09.01.01 and Sydney 11/23/93.And they were only available here from the fanclub. Why dont they release live material on cd??? The question remains..

My favorite album by them, hands down. It's changing, unique, and extremely addicting. It has all sorts of different sides, and includes one of my closest to favorite U2 songs - Ultraviolet (Light my Way) :) Simply a stunning record, complete with a really different cover.
