Speaking to a global audience of tens of millions, George Clooney, the prime mover behind 'Hope for Haiti Now' described the earthquake that hit the Carribean island on January 12 as 'a tragedy that reaches across all borders, all boundaries...the Haitian people need our help. They need to know they are not alone.'
A stellar cast of musicians and actors, performing in three locations, included Madonna, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay and Jennifer Hudson. In London, Jay-Z, Bono, The Edge and Rihanna performed 'Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)' a song written and produced within the last week.
Great title that gives a lot of meaning. god bless!!

I could hardly hear Bono's voice :(
But BRAVO to all who helped Haiti and those who will help in the future!

music can heal
This just shows that neither race nor
social standing in this world will stop the human race from banding together to face the odds down and do the right thing
There's still hope for us.......

Never Stranded
This was definately the highlight of the show. U2 never leaves me stranded, never disappointed, unsatisfied, or without hope. Bono uplifted us all!

Blessed are the many to have come
It is a very Sad time for our brothers and Sister in Haiti, But Now they cry and ask for hope and for help and for god light to shine on them. Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z, and Rihanna Have shared this song not going to leave you stranded, And we won''t let us join togeather and help this nation get back on its feet and if we ask for all the goverments to help as well to support these people. LET US SHOW A STATEMENT TO THE WORLD AND SHOW WE REALLY CARE. AND SUPPORT THIS JUST CAUSE. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE PEFORMERS AND THANK YOU FOR HELPING

SUPERB
this shows that BONO still has some fire on his song writing. Great guitar work from Edge. Bono and Edge sound as current as the Hip Hop artists. Rihanna showing once again she's here to stay. Jay-Z, what can I say? not much of a rap fan; however this is the third time I have seen him collaborate with some of the big stars out there and doing it with a lot of class. I can say Jay-Z I am getting into.

well done mon amour
'Stranded' is one of the ( too) few uplifting moments during the Hope For Haiti telethon. I spent most of those two hours sobbing, but Bono, Jay-Z and Rihanna's performance (along with Wyclef Jean's and Madonna's performances), conveyed the spirit, hope and faith shown in the images of the Haitian survivors and their rescuers for the past 10 days. The smiles shared during those performances are what the orphaned children of Haiti will need to see.
Thanks to those who are actually there helping, from those of us who either don't have the courage to go, or who are just trying to hold our own families together. This tragedy puts our recent misfortunes into perspective.

love U2, worthy cause but...
that's just crappy hip-Pop, really cheesy and insubstantial - why do the guys align themselves with JayZ and Rhianna? They're truly terrible 'artists'.
why not a credible benefit with the like of Lou Reed or such?

Very Inconsiderate to slag off song
It doesnt matter how good or bad the stranded song is the point is its trying to raise money for a very needy cause. Why dont you just donate and stop being so picky. This is a very worthwhile cause! Anyway I think the song is good! Its great to see people helping!

Great song!
Unlikely collaboration, but it worked brilliantly! I'm glad to see that 100% of the proceeds as well as the donations are going to the Haitians. We feel the loss and sorrow all the way here in Boston. I can't say enough about Bono and U2's contributions to humanity. Thank you U2!

Stranded
Love it!! Brilliant choice of artists. I can't stand rap myself, but this is a charity song, and it will appeal to a wider audience than if it was only U2. Thus, it will make more money for the people of Haiti.

Stranded
Have to agree w/pheijlands. If there was no video, I wouldn't even know that Bono was on the track.
