How Was It For You?

29 Jul 2011310
Simply by the numbers U2 360° is the most successful concert tour of all time.  Over two years and two months, the band have played to more than 7million fans in 30 countries on 5 continents.

Since opening night in June 2009, the U2 360° spaceship  has taken off at 110 shows. The set list at the beginning  is unrecognisable from a set list two years later.

But it's not about the numbers - it's about the moment. The moment of surrender.

So how was it for you?
The best show you went to?
The track that captures the spirit of U2360?
The visual or staging feature that took your breath away?
The memories of a rock'n'roll tour that you'll never forget...

thank you
There are 2 bands i have wanted to see and they are Pink Floyd and U2 and finally in Pittsburgh i got to see U2 so 1 out of 2 is not bad.I was worried because my van had broke down a couple months ago but thank God for friends who allowed me to use their car. From the moment major tom played til the end of the show i was pumped up and didnt want it to end.The most special time was during "with or without you" because i was able to slow dance with my fiancee to one of my most favorite songs ever.I even had teared eyes because of how special it was and i owe it to Bono,Edge,Adam and Larry.Thank you so much for this awesome and special night that i will never forget. So awesome that im trying to find videos of the whole night so that i can make my own dvd of the night to always cherish, thank you again and hope that u can make it to pittsburgh again very soon so that i can take my kids to expierience this

Barcelona and Sevilla 09/10
I was in the opening show of the 360º Tour in Barcelona, it was my first U2 show and it was simply awesome. I still rememenber the first battery hits from Larry on Breathe and Ultraviolet like it was yesterday! I was in Sevilla too in 2010, even a better show!! Awesome introduction with Return of the Stingray Guitar and really awesome set list. Simply thank you U2 and hope you will be soon in the road again!!!

Best ever
I saw them on this tour twice, but for the Philly show, we waited all day and saw them from the front row- one of the best experiences of my life! Truly! All I can say is: U2, please, please, please tour again! Thank you for an incredible memory! -Sara

U2ROCKS a glorious summer
Although I made it to 5 shows during the first leg, the 7 shows I was at this summer were nothing short of AMAZING. Meeting Adam, Bono, and The Edge the day before it all started in Denver I knew my summer was going to ROCK! The Chicago show had so much energy I was high for three days. Although St. Louis was hot than hot, Bono doing Elevation right in front of me made it all worth it. My final 360 show in Pittsburgh was the most energetic while Bono lied directly in front of me on the catwalk at the end of Crazy/Disco. I will miss my usual spot being front and center outside the catwalk in Canada.

Washinton DC & Philly
These were the best shows I have ever seen. These were my first shows, so these were the best. I really loved all of the tracks. I really loved the acoustic "Stay (faraway, so close)". Bono swinging during the encore was just awesome, especially after his back surgery, just amazed me. The whole tour was just so amazing....! I cant wait for the next tour!

I´ll NEVER forget that night
It was my first U2 concert. When i die, and someone tells me hopefully in heaven lol "you can go back to live 3 hours of your life" I would say "june 29 2011 in Sun Life stadium, U2 360 tour" I will die with this great memories in the inner circle. I will always remember beautiful day, pride or where the streets have no name played in that concert. Thank you U2. What a audio and visual delight

My Journey
Started in 09 at Camp Nou for opening night, amazing experience meeting people from all over the works who made the journey. Next stop was Chicago followed by Dallas, Oklahoma and Las Vegas- what a sight seeing the claw dominate little Sam Boyd stadium, incredible show. Picked up in 2011 with Nashville and Minneapolis, amazed how the setlist evolved over the 2 years!! My top 3 highlights of the tour were 1. Opening night in Barca- what an amazing crowd and energy, coming thru the tunnel to see the claw for the first time. 2. The entire Nashville night, from the guitar player at the end to playing a part of one of my top U2 songs the Wanderer for the first time live. 3. Minneapolis- People ask why I love U2?? The biggest band in the world playing the night in a literal monsoon, rain coming down in sheets with no stage cover and not missing a beat!! What an amazing 2 years, we will never see anything like this in our lifetimes! Thanks guys!!!

Breathe was great ( I was at Sheffield 20/8/09 ), and Even Better Than The Real Thing and Out Of Control is great too from the newer set list! They where great from Glasto as well.

Chicago USA--2011
The fact they the boys played "One Tree Hill" without even practicing it and not missing a beat in Chicago in 2011 proves to me they are the best band in the world--bar none!!

Perfect
This show was a surprise show for me. I had seen the show 7 times, in Denver, Edmonton, East Lansing, Chicago, Toronto, Philly, and Minneapolis. Loved every one. It took a 9 hour drive to get to Pittsburgh after very little sleep, but it was worth it. I was welcomed when I parked, given a beer, and proceeded to experience the perfect show. As great as those previous shows were, Pittsburgh was different, because it was for posterity-the last time in the US. You could see the seriousness of purpose on their faces when they entered the stadium. DEFINITIVE versions of every song, the crowd and the band were ONE, and Bad was the ultimate capper. So glad I made this show. Now, just 1 more-Moncton. Having a great time so far in Halifax. Thank you U2 for the summer of a llifetime.

Out of Control in NJ - Thank You U2.com
I was fortunate enough to attend U2 360 five times, and my favorite moment was NJ "Out of Control"...I wanted "Bad", really bad, but it did not come to pass. I did not see any of the new songs other than on the internet, and I look forward to a new album...or two. I would like U2.com to release an audio cd for subscribers from one of the U2.com live broadcast shows (Capetown, Sao Paolo, or Montreal)...that would be really cool. Thank you to the webmasters and U2 fans who make U2.com a huge success. Live audio from the Moncton show, anyone????? We love U2!!!!!

I am still in awe of this band. Each time I see them in concert, it still seems as though they are truly amazed at their lives. The simple way that they walk both in and out of the stadiums up to them talking to the audience in truly humble fashions. I have seen them in numerous times and each concert is better than the previous. I enjoy seeing and supporting rock stars that are still human beings. Keep up the fantastic music and forever stay HUMBLE...we love you~Looking forward to the next tour. "I will follow"

indescribably amazing
Could not pass up the chance to see the group I grew up, my first song that I love U2 was "New years day" and what was my surprise that they played at the concert, May 15th. México, not include in regular setlist then I feel it was God´s work. I had never experienced anything like the euphoria and excitement that I felt that day. Now I can say is and will be the best concert of my life. Thank U2 forever!

For me, it was a DUAL experience
Toronto, september 16th and 17th, 2009. Me and my friends traveled all the way from Mexico to Canada to see the boys do their thing. And, to tell the truth, the first night blew my mind, not becouse I heared Stay live for the first time, and Your Blue Room too, but becouse I finally met a member of the band. My second and most memorable show was may 14th, Mexico City. I was there with my mom, my sister and my wife, right in the inner circle. It was so emotional and so potent my body shakes just remembering it. And I hear Stay again that night. Let´s do it again gang!

BALTIMORE, MD
This was my second U2 show. The first was PopMart in DC when I was about 16 years old. I am forever grateful for the band coming to Baltimore to play at the M&T Bank Stadium this year. Thank you so much for reminding me why I fell in love with this band before I can even remember! The fact that so many albums were represented in the show is truly appreciated. It is hard to point at one favorite moment or song. It was all great!

I would do it again!
Woo-hoo. I have seen 6 Shows of 360°. Gelsenkirchen, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hannover, Zurich & Munich. Never forget "my birthday-party" in first row in Zurich. Each concert of the tour was something special. I watched it 3 times in front of stage, 2 times far away from the stage in GA and 1 time in front of the cat-walk. I will miss U2 with these good party-days. Life pure! Please Bono, The Edge, Larry, Adam, come back again! In honor, Marcel

Paris and Brussels 2009/10
I feel SO lucky to have been able to see the 360° claw in Paris 2010, and Paris + Brussels 2011; all of the shows were just breath-taking, unforgettable, and thinking of these concerts help me a lot when times are tough! Magnificent was sort of my favourite song, if i Really had to chose one, but I just adored so much all of the "No line on the horizon" songs, and Unforgettable Fire... one of the strongest moments for me was in the 2nd Brussels 2011 show, "Miss Sarajevo" under the pouring rain, one of the best versions i have ever heard!!! Thank you U2, you save my life every day... Love You Forever, and see you soon :-)))

Brazil, Zooropa played for the first tim
I was lucky enough to see the 3 sold out gigs in São Paulo (Brazil). All of them were awesome. On the 2nd, Zooropa was played for the first time, and it was a magical, unforgettable moment. On the 3rd gig, I managed to stand in the front row of the inner circle, near to Bono, and it was really great when he said: "usually we sing to our audience but here our audience sings to us. Usually we put on a show for our audience but here you put on a show for us." Brilliant concerts, amazing crowds, the best band in the world... I am an old U2 fan and I am pretty sure I will be it forever . Hope our boys have some time to relax after Moncton. We see them next tour!

What a Ride!!!
31 Shows in 15 countries on 5 continents.... Thanks for a great 2 years! From Opening Night in Barcelona to Zagreb to Istanbul to Auckland to Capetown to Buenos Aires to my backyard in MIami and now HOPEFULLY, the Volcano Gods willing, wrapping up in Moncton... Several favorite shows but Gelsenkirchen stands out for the crowd and the sound in that staduim(roof)... Favorite venue was Capetown, what a location! Most intimate setting for me was Nice.. Mountains and Ocean and a small crowd(by 360 standards).. Thanks to the worlds best crew for making it so much fun! Sad to see it end but happy to have been a part of so much if it! Rick Musica

Amazed and token to the space ship
I saw them six times. Every single show had the really special thing, one way or the other. So it is hard to say. I do thing that in many ways the ship took me over and turned also something in my life in general. So I am 4ever grateful and humble to have these experiences. And also this website and the professionalism in all and despite the massive organization with the heart still with it I honour and appreciate all the people with this a lot. All those, we clear eyed fans in every concert. So Thank You! It has been something. Maybe a blessing. But if I really have to choose the moment of surrender... Well I cannot! In every case it was there. In Dublin, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Istanbul. Dublin 2, Helsinki 2 and Frankfurt were the fruit. Dublin 1, Helsinki 1 and Istanbul were tickling the toes for something, all & everything. So what time it is in the world? And where are we going?
MrMcKenno
Dublin(fri and sun), Seville, Baltimore
All great shows. Bad and stay were amazing in dublin, ultraviolet terrific in seville, and the achtung opening set in Baltimore was superb. Bet overall from my 360 experience, Seville was the best and until the end of the world my favourite.

U2 light my way
When I saw the claw for the first time in Berlin on July 18th 2009 I was amazed by its gigantic size, but from the first chords of the songs I knew that this tour would mean much, much more than just some big spectacles full of groundbreaking technology. For me all the stunning visuals and bright lights rather intensified the deep emotionality of the music. I experienced the best show in my country Austria on August 30th 2010 when I managed to stand in the front row of the inner circle near to Adam. My biggest dream to be so close to U2, who always lift my soul through their wonderful songs, their moving lyrics and their spirit, came true in this very night. Standing in this incredible place I felt waves of adrenaline and joy and shivers. I enjoyed this beautiful feeling of security and sometimes I just forgot that I attended this show in a huge stadium together with thousands of other fans. Looking back at it now I remember so many touching moments, but for me "Ultra Violet" was an unforgettable highlight that captured the spirit of U2360 in so many ways. Through Bono;s intense voice, the moving lyrics, the beauty of the sound and the red lights coming from Bono;s jacket I could realize what this tour was about in my opinion: it was about unconditional love and the exceptional chemistry between band and audience in big spaces. With dazzling lights and video walls illuminating nocturnal skies, "City Of Blinding Lights" provided the incredible visuals that just left me speechless and mesmerized. When the ethereal opening notes of "Where The Streets Have No Name" merged into Larry;s distinctive drumbeats I somehow found myself trying to jump as high as possible. And I will never forget the moment when Bono put his hand on his chest and said:" I;m just very happy to be here. Very, very happy."
