U2360° TOUR

'We feel right at home here in this the home of space stations.' Quite so, the day after Bono and Edge had visited the Johnson Space Centre and spoken to the astronauts orbiting the earth. Those men and women are 'heroes to us - to you they're just next door neighbours.'

This show's been in orbit ever since Barcelona in June, but at the Reliant Stadium in Houston tonight there was more space than usual. 'Chief Flight Engineer Larry Mullen, Space Walker Adam Clayton... Houston we have no problem.'

To top it all when Your Blue Room entered the 360 orbit for one of its occasional and welcome appearances, the voices of the astronauts were speaking over the track. And who better than ZOO TV's alien space baby to show up for Ultraviolet ? Could these Texans have made any more noise? Unlikely... unless Bono muses before Moment of Surrender that 'Texas to me is the centre of the world right now'. Even more noise.

Special mention to tour cinematographer Tom Krueger, during With or Without You. 'Thanks to the our amazing U2 crew and Tom Krueger - you know how to throw a good party Tom.'

How was it for you in Houston tonight? Tell us what it was like and post your photos below.

A year later...
Wow, a whole year has passed since the concert in Houston. I remember it every day, especially when those certain songs play. I especially remember the moment when Magnificent was played and the stadium turned into sea of blue, and tears were shed. And I remember how we sang our heart out during Mysterious Ways. And now here we are... a year later, the boys are coming back in 2011 to do it all over again. Hope to catch ya in Chicago or Miami. M of J&M&L (Adam's Girls).

Driving my girls to school today...
my middle school daughter asked me to play "magnificent". It reminded me of the concert, and how much fun my bro and I had standing under the "bridge" as Bono danced and sang above... I can only hope for another opportunity to see these guys again. When I get the chance, I am taking these young fans with me to the next show! U2, you play with total effort and class. What an honor it is to share your music with the next generation. How many bands can stretch the decades like you guys are! Thanks for all the memories!

Been a fan since the War album when I heard New Years Day as we drove from Santa Cruz.Have seen them on every tour since Unforgettable Fire ( In San Francisco with the Waterboys opening) Saw them in Dallas two nights prior and would have driven to Norman if I didn't to be at work the next day. The sound was much better in Houston than Dallas and was a tighter more inspired show although I don't complain about Dallas.Went with my wife and son who I took with us when we saw them at the Cow Palace when he was nine months old (yes we plugged his ears) in 1984. So you could say I'm a big fan. Their music has inspired me beyond words.

Found What I'm Lookin' For

Best ever!
The concert was by far the best I've ever been to. U2 is making a bigger sound. However, the crowd around us weren't very into the concert itself and that was really bugging us. They sat there quietly as if they were watching a baseball game. Why would they spend so much money just to sit there? We went to the first opening night in Chicago, everyone in the crowd stood on their feet and danced and sang, that was what I called, FANS!
First Rock Concert
This was my first rock concert. I have been a fan of U2 for many years. My husband did not want to go so I went by myself to the concert and had a ABSOLUTE ball. I didn't sit down the entire time. U2 was amazing and didn't disappoint. I almost cried when amazing grace was sung. GREAT BAND. I hope to seen them in Europe next year. Patrice

5th time's a charm
This was my 5th U2 concert in Texas, as well as my husband's. What made it even more special was that it was our son's 1st! Thank you Bono, The Edge, Adam, and Larry for giving us a magnificent show. My son's only disappointment was that they didn't play "Unknown Caller," but other than that we had a blast. It was well worth driving the 300+ miles (about 5 hours one way) to see my favorite band of all time! Can't wait to see it all over again on YouTube! WE LOVE U2!

THIS BAND KEEPS GETTING BETTER...
This show was over-the-top excellent. Best U2 show ever, and I've had 2nd row JT seats, 11th row Popmart and GA for 3 others. The sound system was unbelievable, not just that it sounded perfect the whole night, but when the lights came up, I had no ringing in my ears. The best thing was sharing the evening with my brother, who was with me at my first concert (June 17 1983, LA Sports Arena) and visited Houston for this show. (Pie.) I love you guys! Thanks for being the conscience of rock and roll, and for making a difference for peace in the world.

MAgnificent!!! Thanks for shouting Viva
I was there!!! I can´t believe U2 has the time to give a show while connecting with the people almost one to one sometimes. I was there at the front having the time of my life while he was singing Beautiful Day (also wearing my Mexican wrestler mask with my flag) when Bono starred at me pointed at me and later he shouted ¡viva México! that was all worthy, to know he sees you are there and gives you something unique, personal and memorable. They keep going better and better with every show!!!! I am so excited to go back to México for your show

Awesome!
Great show. Was my first time seeing U2 ever and I've been a fan since they the first album. I loved the intro with Magnificent. The whole show was just amazing. Getting to hear 'the Edge' play guitar live was unreal. Dude is one of the few current guitar players that has his own style. There's no one playing today like Edge.

Unbelievable
This is my 3rd U2 show my first in the inner circle and the first with my husband. It was one of those nights I will never forget. We were so close to rock royalty! Thank you for bringing just positive energy to your concerts. You always give 200% to your fans and we thank you for that! I really appreciate the message of love, duty and awareness you send not only to your fan base but to the world. Thank you Bono, Edge, Larry and Adam for always bringing the best show to your fans! Keep on rocking!!!! xoxo Marisol PS: Thank you for singing ultraviolet it is one of my favs :).

"What a night...what a show"
My 7th show since 1992 and still an uplifting event. Traveled from San Antonio w/ my crew...Dina, Johnny Taco, Cathy, Marc, Michelle. H-town was definitely the "City of Blinding Lights". Fave moments were "The Unforgettable Fire" & "Ultraviolet". Definitely the best show on the planet of Earth. "Walk on by. Walk on through. Walk till you run and don't look back...For here I am"

Going full circle
I've been to several U2 concerts before, but never with my siblings--the crazy folks who 1st introduced me to U2 back in the 80s. So how appropriate that I went with them last Wednesday night. And luckily we wound up right next to the stage on Adam's side--Adam, you made our little "inner circle" crowd feel like a private concert, so Thank You for giving us a special night. Once again, U2 put on an amazing "intimate" stadium show. Y'all are the best. I can't wait for more...

amazing
I saw u2 more than 20 years ago during the Joshua Tree tour. Saw them twice then, in Austin and in Fort Worth for the concert with BB King. While that was an amazing night, Wed's concert was incredible! It's amazing that after so many years you guys still keep outdoing yourselves. I fell in love with Bono the first time I saw the Sunday Bloody Sunday video, the one with the flag. I still think he's great. I am so proud to have been part of your generation. Thanks for all you do.

So why I didn't end up at the concert...
So I have been looking forward to this concert from the day the last one finished rolling through Houston - I love U2, have loved them for many years and was very excited about the show. Honestly, I did very little at work on Wednesday as all I did was read reviews of other concerts, text/talk with other friends who were going and talking about plans for the night, etc. Then at 1:45pm, I received a phone call from my wife's friend. "Hey - I just wanted to let you know that I'm at your house right now and it's pretty clear, your wife is going into labor so I'm going to drive her to the hospital and you can meet us there." My response? "You're kidding right?" I had told my wife that there were many days my son could be born but if he was born in such a way that I couldn't go to the concert, then I was going to make his middle name Bono! Well, needless to say, at 3, they told us it was real labor, she was a trooper and dealt with the labor for several hours and then due to some complications, at 12:15 through C-Section, my beautiful young son was born. I will say I was bummed throughout the night thinking I was missing the concert... Seeing my child made me forget all of it. But I will say that although I am so happy that I have such a young bundle of joy, I am a bit disappointed to have missed the concert. I'm glad to hear that it was awesome... Sadly, my wife would not hear of it, so Samir Ajay is his name instead of my choice, Samir Bono! Hope the concert was awesome for everyone!

An incredible and unforgettable night
I've loved U2 since the early 80s and have seen them numerous times, beginning with the Joshua Tree tour. Their music is the soundtrack of my life. The concert in Houston was amazing. The stage was fantastic, the set list was wonderful, and the crowd enjoyed every last second of the concert. The highlights for me were The Unforgettable Fire (I loved the giant video screen during that song), and the funky Thank You / I'll Go Crazy. I'd loved to be able to get that remix on iTunes (hint, hint). Ultra Violet was another treat. I'd be hard pressed to pick one favorite moment. Thanks U2 for another amazing night! I can't wait for your next trip to Space City!

Houston, we have no problem
Amazing show. U2 was awesome and the crowd was really into it. Houston LOVES U2! It's so surreal to finally see the stage in person after seeing it only in pictures for the past few months. If you still haven't seen it, yes, it really is ginormous. This was my 4th time seeing U2 live since 1997. They always out-do themselves with every tour. You don't want to miss the show. Thank you U2 for being so good at what you do, you truly create beautiful and inspirational music. I love you. See you in Las Vegas.

THIS BAND KEEPS GETTING BETTER...
I've been to every tour since 1983 (LA Sports Arena) and this one is just over the top perfect!!! I traveled to Houston to see another show with my hardcore fan brother John. This show is fantastic. To hear 90000 people singing together was spine tingleing. I am trying to get tickets to the LA show on the 25th. The only thing that would have made this better -- is a longer show. Two hours does not begin to cover the depth of this band and all the awesome music they could have played! HOUSTON, THERE WAS NO PROBLEM!!!
i know i'm not alone
I have been to 6 tour concerts and I always leave elated! I am so proud to be a die hard U2 fan because you are so much more than the "boys who play rock and roll". Thank You for inspiring me and a million others. Larry, Adam, The Edge and Bono, I thank you for so many years of GREAT music.

Awesome Experience
Let me start by saying that my family and I had been waiting with anticipation for this day to come. The day of the concert was full of questions and wondering"Will they play everything I want to hear?" Well let me say this, it might not of been everything on my list but it sure was everything I wanted to hear. My 12 year old daughter caught her first U2 show and she was so overwhelmed. My wife cried tears of joy several times during the show and I did not want the night to end. Thank You U2 for an awesome experience and a night to remember for many years. Until next time.

A Reaffirmation
I was rendered practically speechless from this Houston show!! The last time I saw U2 was on the Unforgettable Fire Tour. To see them again was such a priveledge. My wife and I can't stop gushing. The U2 philosopy rang so loud in my now, 40 something brain. It feels so good to be able to say, I grew up with U2. I will never forget this show!
