Still, to this day, the BEST concert I have every seen. The other two times I saw U2 were runners up to this show.
This was the show that told me and the rest of my high school friends that we were watching what would surely become the BEST LIVE Band in the World.
Add to that, The ALARM opened up and really inspired the crowd with 68 GUNS - too bad they broke up years later.
What made this show memorable was the intimate setting (only about 5K in the sold out Civic Center) I would see them later in larger arenas and stadiums - also very cool, but there was something special about seeing them play before they bacame "World" famous. I will never forget hearing Sunday Bloody Sunday" live for the first time. Awesome show, even though their best work was yet to come ( Unf Fire / Joshua Tree - etal)
