U2 Sweep Irish Music Awards

Add in manager Paul McGuinness's Irish Music Industry Award, and U2 took home eight 2002 Meteor Ireland Music Awards last night.

A star-studded line-up at Dublin's Point Theatre included performances from Enrique Iglesias, Westlife, Gabrielle, The Cranberries, Ronan Keating, Lighthouse Family and Muse.

U2 won four awards, Edge won 'Best Musician', Bono won 'Best Songwriter', and Paul McGuinness was awarded a special 'Irish Industry Award'.
