'Radically Different'

20 May 20118
'If you compare the set list of the opening of this tour to what we're doing now it's radically different, as is a lot of the show imagery and the production effects.'

On the eve of the US and Canadian dates, Edge reflects on how U2360° has changed since opening night in Barcelona in June 2009.

Loved it!
I loved all the changes and new media...especially Desmond Tutu and Ang San Suu Ski. I also loved the mixed versions and when I realized that was what was being played I was all excited for the new changes and grateful that I was able to be there. The setlist was awesome and when Bono played the harmonica...I melted...God knows I love when he plays it :)

U2 dream out loud
I agree with The Edge that the set list including some breathtaking visuals changed a lot over almost two years. Having attended a show in Vienna, I was overwhelmed by the grand beauty of new unreleased material like "Every Breaking Wave". "Mercy", which I saw on YouTube, made me get lost in a wonderful feeling of infinity, with The Edge creating some beautiful echo effects by playing repetitive notes. U2 offered some other great changes such as "Even Better Than The Real Thing", an epic version of "One Tree Hill" and of course "Zooropa", one of the definite stand-out tracks of the band;s career. The development of the whole 360 Tour was outstanding, because instead of repeating the same successful formula U2 and their great crew always worked on new concepts and ideas to keep the show fresh, innovative and spontaneous.
