The track, which was a huge hit at the Miami Winter Music Conference, is the first release from Musique, the new project from Moussa Clarke ('Moose') and Nick Hanson.

Moose is best known for tunes like Choose Life, the slamming hard house track that sampled Ewan McGregor's opening speech from Trainspotting, and for his remix of Tzant's Sounds Of The Wickedness which went to number 11 in the UK.

Musique, who produced New Year's Dub, received permission from U2 for an official release, after the band heard their new version. A spokeswoman for U2 told Music Week: "The band thought it was a great song which is why permission to use the sample was given."

Serious Records Managing Director Simon Belofsky said, 'It will be one of the big records of the year.'

Music Week's 'Top Ten in Miami' chart, described New Year's Dub as 'Hypnotic house featuring the unmistakeable guitar riff from New Year's Day.'
