Nelly Furtado Set For More U2 Shows

25 Jul 2001
Nelly Furtado, who stood in for PJ Harvey as support for U2 at the beginning of Elevation 2001, is preparing to open on more dates.

The Canadian singer said she was invited to some more U2 shows after the band were impressed with her eleventh-hour US appearances.

'I'm doing Slane Castle with U2 in Ireland - a big 80,000-strong crowd, which is going to be quite nerve-wracking. I'm also playing Earl's Court in London.
'We were well behaved so we got invited back. We didn't trash anything. No, just kidding," she told Launch.Com.

Earls Court in London have made available some additional tickets for the four U2 shows in August.
