Live From The Rose Bowl (To Everywhere)

25 Oct 2009245
'What time is it in the world and where are we going?' Bono asked after 'Get On Your Boots'. Tonight it was every time on the clock, depended which country you were in as the U2 360°: show went out live on YouTube to millions of viewers on seven continents.

A record-breaking 97,000 fans watched the show live at the Rose Bowl and we've been getting messages from fans all over the world who were enjoying it live online : you were watching in China and New Zealand, in Iran and in North Korea, in Russia and Latin America, in Canada and right across Europe.

From Iceland ('Definitely the greatest economy class I have ever had...') to Peru ('amazing, incredible and exciting...') the whole world seems to have been at the show.

'It's like we are all there at the concert,' said Baadsilver on our Zoootpia live thread 'We ALL have our hands in the air and are singing... crazy tonight for U2.'

Or as one smart Tweet put it, 'This has to be the best U2 concert I have never been to.'

From Breathe to Moment of Surrender, felt like a moment of rock'n'roll history tonight. If you were watching somewhere in the world tonight, why don't you tell us what it was like in the comments box at the bottom of this page - and don't forget to include which COUNTRY YOU WERE WATCHING IT IN.

If you were actually at the RoseBowl post your own review and add your photos on our tour page, or catch the rebroadcast here.

Meantime, even though you know this, here's what they played at the Rose Bowl tonight.

keep rocking...
I stayed up late (Houston) encroaching into my sleep hrs but it was worth it. The U2 YouTube live broadcast from LA was great...but the HOUSTON concert was BETTER!!!! especially with Blue Room and the whole space segment. I love U2's music. Keep rocking guys and I/the world will keep rocking with you :)

The show was great and finally, you will come in Montreal in 2010!!!! Can't wait to see you!!! YOU ARE THE BEST. I love you U2.

Watching from all the way Maine. (USA)
Not bad. Unfortunately, I had to wait until this morning to watch the recording. Although I enjoyed being at the second Boston show more, I have to say it was a solid performance overall. I am excited that you guys are returning to NA in 2010. If you ever feel the need to stop by Boston for a couple nights, please, don't hesitate! Cheers

What a show
I live 40 miles from the Rose Bowl in Thousand Oaks, Ca. Was bummed that I could not afford tickets for the show. Became thrilled to know I could still go via You Tube. Sat in a comfy chair with a glass of red wine and truely enjoyed the show. Great to hear the band again live. Unforgettable and Magnificent were my favorites. Lets not forget the hard work done nightly by the road crew. The lights, sound and the massive stage set up. These folks deserve our praise as much as the band. We are so lucky to have a band like U2, who plays from the heart, to fill ours. Thanks to the band and the road crew. I plan on scrimping and saving for the show in Anahiem next summer.

Unforgettable
Bleary eyed, I tuned in at 3:30 this morning from the UK. Didn't take me long to wake up - loved every single minute: took me back to late August, when I saw the guys again in Cardiff. Had to clamp my hands over my mouth at times when I realised I was singing along at the top of my voice (the soundproofing is poor in my house - I don't think that my neighbours would understand how much I LOVE U2!!). xx

Dream come true
The broadcast on youtube was a dream come true for a younger fan like myself. Unable to actually go there and see them in person, they came to me! All I can say is thanks U2 and YouTubeI

Seventeenth time since 1983, this was th
Just waking up...to what was the most incredible, emotional, exhausting, memorable, sensory-overloading U2 experience of my life! Standing second row, outer circle-general admission floor, about five feet from the stage, making eye contact with the band...just the best concert experience I've ever had! It was so great to share this experience with my girlfriend, Marty! We were in the center of the Universe! Amazing Grace was...amazing! I've seen the guys live seventeen times since 1983, and this tops them all! Unforgettable Fire was mind-blowing, and I got teary-eyed during Walk On, seeing a girl onstage with the mask in tears. Who cares what time it is in the world! I'm still on the U2 ether!

Sydney-U2 are amazing!
The best part for me was to know that I was sharing this great experience with people all over the world. What a connection! It is true that we are not the same but we are ONE. Thank you Bono, Larry, Edge, Adam and the TEAM behind U2. Finally but not least Thank You Heavenly Father for the gift that is U2.

Too tired....
....to see it live at 4.30am here in Italy. I saw the re-broadcast and felt like I was there. I saw the guys in Milan on the first show, just 3 meters outside the catwalk and tonight I felt myself on stage. Thanks guys for sharing this with all the world and thanks YouTube (or U2ube?) for broadcast. Can't wait to have a DVD fron this concert.

awesome
The boys pulled it off again. They made such a huge venue and crowd seem like you were right there. I loved Bono's playing with the camera guys a few times. Those looks are priceless. Excellent show and I am hoping to get tickets to see them again in Toronto next summer.

I went to cali in my pajamas
I was sitting in my hotel room in vegas 2 days after seeing them here. I cried as I thought of how many people came together through our windows to the world, for the gift of globally shared joy.

Thanks For The Gift
I only got to see the last half of the show by getting up early before work and seeing the replay. Thanks for the gift boys. Just wish it were on a weekend evening so I'd be able to see the whole thing. Still on a high since seeing the show in Boston in Sept. Gary from New Brunswick Canada

Fantastic show
Greetings from Norway! I was at the concert in Gothenburg, Sweden, at the 1st of August and it was amazing! Now I had the chance to relive the show with this U2ube broadcast, and I'm very, very thankful fot this. It was really worth getting up at 4.30 a.m. (my local time). Again, a fantastic show, and I hope U2 soon will come to Norway :D

Missing song?
I could have sworn that they did Acrobat as well, no? Maybe it was a snippet? Fantastic show. I've been to every tour at least once for the past 25 years and they haven't lost their touch in the slightest! Bono still connects with his audience like nobody else can. LOVE your guys and I'll see you in Anaheim. I really DO hope that this is the last series of Stadium gigs though. You guys and the Black Eyed Peas were awesome but the Rose Bowl really, really sucks as a venue. Teeny, tiny seats and if I hadn't missed most of my favorite song off of the new album (Moment of Surrender) it would have taken 2-3 hours to get out of there. The venue is simply too old to handly this large of a crowd. Love ya as well as all of my fellow fans! Scott Robb

I can die happy now!!
One of the best, if not THE best, U2 concerts I have been to in my life. Beginning with Breathe and ending with Moment of Surrender, Bono, The Edge, Adam, and Larry proved once again why they are the best damn band in the world!
