Congratulations to U2's Joe O'Herlihy for winning big at last night's Tec Awards in Los Angeles.

Joe, who has been U2's sound engineer since before anyone can remember, beat off stiff competition in the Tour Production category from Madonna, Janet Jackson, Dave Matthews Band and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

With Tour Company Clair Brothers and Monitor Engineers Don Garber, Raza Sufi, Niall Slevin, Dave Skaff, Joe picked up the prestigious award as Front of House Engineer for U2's Elevation Tour.

The TEC - stands for Technical Excellence & Creativity - Awards are the foremost programme recognizing the achievements of audio professionals and are presented annually by the Mix Foundation for Excellence in Audio.
