From the first time I heard Magnificent in my lap top speakers I was moved, then the lyrics, then on a true stereo and the bass lineand then my minds eye seeing the boys on stage with 60k people and you know Bono will make magnificent as much a feeling of the live moment as it is the converstation with God. I don't care what anyone says, this whole album is some fine fine work, and I've been a fan since Boy.

From the very first moment I heard "Magnificent" it swept me off my feet. It's a great song. The music is just wonderful. For me it's the number 1 song of NLOH. After all these years still being able to create such a powerful song and such a beautiful music. RESPECT!!!

You know this is a U2 song from the first note(ok-maybe two or three notes), andit does have an almost Unforgettable Fire feel to it. I know the audience will be ready with the "oh, oh magni....." sing along from show 1 in Milan. My fav's on NLOTH is Cedars, Surrender, and Breathe

Definitely should have been the first single! on that note, can you imagine hearing NLOTH for the first time, and get to track 6, GOYB, never having heard it before? I think it'd have been a great surprise and felt like a better track if it hadn't been so hyped up.

I think it couldn't be any other way...it's the best song on the album, and I bet it will become one of those super hits.....I also read before here in the web site that there will be only 4 singles released, and I would like to know how they are planning on doing that, cuz at least "..crazy tonight" "breathe" and of course "no line on the horizon" simply have to be singles..have to

Wonderful opening build into a great, cascading first volley reminiscent of "Zoo Station" and a soaring lyric that will elevate everyone at the live shows. It's a super single, one of many to come from NLOTH. "Moment of Surrender", "I Know I'll Go Crazy...", "Stand Up Comedy" and "Breathe" will also be competing for Best Rock Performance Due or Group come Grammy time in 2010. And lads .... I think we're looking at another Album Of The Year!

track 2 magnificent is truly awesome .a real feel good song with a strong message in the lyrics ONLY LOVE CAN LEAVE SUCH A MARK .play it over and over and never tire of it .the edges guitar and bonos voice are a match to perfection .good work lads

Current favourites are NLOTH (album and B-side) and Fez-Being Born. I can see why Magnificent has been chosen as the next single though. IMO Boots wasn't quite up to previous leads, although it was a grower, may pull in new fans and will be fun live.

Could this album be ANY BETTER??? THANK YOU U2. It is hard to listen to new music sometimes when such hits as Vertigo and Elevation continue to dominate our soundscapes. But... WOW...!!! WHAT A RECORD... DEEP AND DEEPER- yet it is so much on the surface at the same time...
