'Changing Up...'

21 Jul 2010675
A few months back, when the tour was due to open in the US, Edge mentioned that the band were thinking of 'changing things up' in the set list.

So that got you thinking. And you told us about songs you'd like them to put into the new leg of the tour - an unplayed track from 'No Line' or a classic from an earlier album.

But it's summer now, the tour opens in Europe and maybe you've changed your mind.

So how about telling us about two songs you'd love to see in the set in 2010... that weren't in the show in 2009?

Here's what you were saying last time we asked.

And click on a city in these 2009 dates to remind yourself what was in the set list last year.

Two songs only - and why you want to hear them. Over to you.

Mercy!!!
They should play Mercy as one of the new songs!!!
caranguejo
My choice for Portugal
Bad (long version, like Live Aid version) and 40 to end the show like you did in Portugal in 2005 (it's the most beautiful moment I haver lived in a concert of U2).
bonomox

POP
It's really time to play some POP songs again- so MOFO & GONE would be great!
U2Psycho
Less new
I'm hoping for some more old songs, with the 20th Anniversary of Achtung Baby around the corner it would be great to hear The Fly, Acrobat or Even Better Than the Real Thing.

2 that should work live!
1) Gloria: this is one of the songs that really raise your hair on the back of your neck even if you are not familiar with the song. One of the tunes that lifted U2 to be the greatest live band already in the early 80's. 2) Two Heart Beat As One: I think that this would sound great live. Very emotional song that I think hasn't been played live since the early 80's. I would love to hear these songs live in Helsinki August 2010!!!

SO MUCH TO CHOOSE! Fez, Miracle Drug, Bad in order and backed up by San Francisco Symphony and the avant garde violinist at the Civic BART center stage under spot light!

2 songs of beauty & energy
From the latest album: Fez/Being Born (White as Snow in the bench) Classic: Crazy MOtherFO... sequence (Discoteque would be cooly linked with Crazy Tonight as well) (and off course cool New Songs) Never to be forgotten: 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, Out of Control, One Tree Hill, Mercy and lotta of others

2 Songs We'd love to hear
Bad - just the most awesome song live and I haven't heard it live. All I Want Is You - we played the live Slane Castle version of this at our wedding and would love to scream "YOU" to Bono! Of course, these songs would be heard in 2011 in Montreal and Toronto, pleasssssse!!!!
Choose these!
Who's gonna ride your wild horses: first of all it is my favorite song of all time; second of all it has the magnitude and depth to hold the crowd with a sonic embrace. It would be epic... Second: Bad: this song holds a close part to my heart along with a vast majority of faithful U2 fans. It would also be another defining moment of the show I believe

This is like Sophie's Choice...
... but I'm glad to have the opportunity anyway. That fantastic stage is screaming out for some Mofo to be rocked beneath it. And how great would it be to have A Sort of Homecoming precede The Unforgettable Fire with the screen expanding? Very great, I tell you. Go with those two!

GOOSEBUMPS

Champion1887
My two favourites
I would like to hear Mofo and Acrobat this summer. I think the claw is the perfect stage to performe Mofo. And they've been ignoring songs from the Pop album for many years. This summer it's time to play some of them!!! Acrobat is one of the best U2 songs and it would be a great gift for all fans, to hear this live.

my choice for Bruxelles
Bullet the blue sky/Red Hill Mining Town
2 Pop songs
The oldies were covered on Vertigo tour, Unforgettable fire got covered on this tour, JT and AB are a given each time, I don't need anything else from the last three albums and Zooropa and Rattle and Hum are already covered sufficiently. Without going into extremely wild teritorry of unlikely choices l vote Please and Gone.
