'Changing Up...'

21 Jul 2010675
A few months back, when the tour was due to open in the US, Edge mentioned that the band were thinking of 'changing things up' in the set list.

So that got you thinking. And you told us about songs you'd like them to put into the new leg of the tour - an unplayed track from 'No Line' or a classic from an earlier album.

But it's summer now, the tour opens in Europe and maybe you've changed your mind.

So how about telling us about two songs you'd love to see in the set in 2010... that weren't in the show in 2009?

Here's what you were saying last time we asked.

And click on a city in these 2009 dates to remind yourself what was in the set list last year.

Two songs only - and why you want to hear them. Over to you.

It is Gloria time
I remember cycling home with the Boy vinyl album under my arm in 1980 - maybe the one of the first 10 copies to be sold in Sweden.... WE talk long term fans here! Coming to Denmark August 15! I think it would be simply great to hear "Gloria" this time - it is a cracker of a song and pretty well sums up all what U2 is about for me. If I have one more pick I would vote for "Crumbsfrom your table". Cheers CU in Denmark August 15!

POP needs a come back
If U2 really want to bring something new to their setlist they should bring back the Pop songs. Pop is U2's most underrated album. Any of the Pop songs during this tour would be great but here's two: 1) Mofo (As original version as you can get)) 2) Staring at the Sun (The original album version with the whole band)

The Lady!
First things first: the back is back! Very grateful to read and hear this. Looking forward to the new shows. Hope the guys will play 'Lady With The Spinning Head'. Love that song: brilliant guitar player there ;-)

DISCOTHEQUE STAY
mheiler
falsetto & POP
anything with Bono's falsetto, e,g, LEMON and some rearranged LAST NIGHT ON EARTH. Definitely something from POP, their most underestimated album(that's what U2 say)
Stargazing
So many to chose from!
A MAN AND A WOMAN because I dont think you have ever played it live and something totally classic and brilliant live - ALL I WANT IS YOU. I figured I would go to left field since all my other picks were chosen.
Scorpionac
Mofo & Fez-Being Born
Why Mofo? That crazy stage design is begging for Bono's bellow 'MOFO!' and Edge's guitar airplane-scream. Could make an amazing transition into the organ-wash opening of Streets. As for Being Born, I think it's the most beautiful song the band has recorded in years. It easily lifts me off to an entirely different world, something desirable at a concert IMO. Absolutely transcendent piece... See you in Edmonton, guys. :)

It´s of course a dificult choice but LEMON and DISCOTHEQUE would fit amazingly at the 360 setting U2 since 1980

Are you gonna Wait Forever
My favorite single is Are you gonna Wait Forever off the last album. Must play live. In God's Country would be sooooo amazing,or how about WIRE? You guys give that song a listen right now, so much energy....
Rockandrollgiraffe
Miami and In God's Country
"Miami" - creepy and edgy, (no pun intended). 13 years on, it still sounds like the future. "In God's Country" - that classic Edge riff ringing out across the globe's stadia - the stuff of goose-bumps.

For my KIDS second U2 Experience
And my 80th live show... long wait for the 80th and 81st rescheduled Angels Stadium, Anaheim CA USA shows... so how about "Angel(s)!! of Harlem".. and PLEASE PLEASE.. ZOOROPA.. "I'll go crazy" if they play that on the night.. my kids want "Electrical Storm", and my Daugther a cuddle with Larry... she loves the video:-) Too many requests I know.. but we LOVE U2.. and we're "out of control"... finally.. sorry Lads - a bit of "Crumbs" and "Dirty Day" would be nice to hear.. just a snippet in between the set choices.. why not do "just snippets all night!!".. There's an idea.. what band have ever done that before.. LOL.. memories of Pasadena live on day by day.. great show:-).. enough is enough.. signing off!
