NJ
How about an Irish American band to warmup in NJ, like Flogging Molly or the Dropkick Murphys? Either one would get the crowd fired up. I guess I'm getting into St. Patrick's Day mode.

Some great support acts for the US fans. Anyone any ideas if any of these will be coming over to Europe with them for the European leg?

"Special Guest"? Be like your roots
Hey U2 - Remember how in the 70's & 80's (pre MTV, internet and itunes...) when the stadium 'warm up band' was a relative unknown and how many of them became great bands getting their big boost from a show fronting their idols? How about "Band of Skulls" for E. Rutherford, NJ??

not happy
Interpol will be at all 3 of my shows. Not good. C'mon guys, couldn't you mix it up a bit? I mean really. What I have heard of Interpol's stuff, there's not much musical diversity there. I hope y'all can prove me wrong, though!

I can dig it!
I am looking forward to seeing Interpol in Michigan. Should add to what will already be an outstanding show!

INTERPOL
INTERPOLLLLL! YESSSS!!! Thank you U2 for getting a great band out on the road with you. MUSE was amazing last leg!! As for the fray...well...lets just say im gald i'm not going to those shows. For those who like mundane music I guess. That is just simply weak sauce. Never seen Lenny live but it should be a good experience to hear him rock out!

NJ
it's a long shot, but how about Lady GaGa opening at the NJ show? she's a NYC girl-- bet it'd be awesome for her to play Giants Stadium... If that's too unrealistic, I'd also be super stoked for MGMT or Arcade Fire!
Leah
How about no opening acts!
Personally I am a bit greedy! I'd prefer that they NOT have any opening acts. Most of these acts have their own established fan base and with what I'm paying to see U2 I'd rather have extra time with them instead.

Interpol!!!
Fingers crossed Interpol for NYC :-)

Lenny
All of those who will see Lenny Kravitz are lucky. I saw him in Geneva in May, that was very good, but less than U2 of course:-) Support act in Europe? Surprise...

Nooooooo!!!
Good thing that I don't really mind if I don't like the opener. I paid to see my favorite band and that is U2. But why does the west coast always get the not so great opener?!?! Interpol is amazing and I would love to see them. Lenny Kravits??? No offense to his fans but, no thank you. Oh well, sigh. I agree with everyone hoping for Arcade Fire! maybe someone else will get added for Anaheim, yet.

Opening for U2 is . . .
I've never been disappointed with the openers for a U2 show. Loved Kanye in Portland, Peral Jam and Rocko in Hawaii, KOL, and the BEP in Vegas and L.A., the list goes on and on. Can't wait to see Lenny again! Come on June, hurry up and get here already!
